Sony Xperia Honami slides will record 4 K video

Apple may be close to a deal with China Mobile

Apple seeds iOS 7 beta 6 for registered developers

Analyst: Apple to launch 128GB iPhone 5S

HTC released an extended version of its "Here's To Change" ad starring Robert Downey Jr. The ad follows Mr. Downey Jr. through the process of figuring out what the HTC acronym means, including "Happy Telephone Company" and, uh, "Hold This Cat."

iOS 7 Golden Master comes September 5

White Sony Xperia Honami caught in the wild, shot next to iPhone 5

Meizu MX3 which was unveiled on September 2

Nokia Lumia 825 leaked, complete with 5.2-inch screen

News of an upcoming Nokia device that will allegedly be called Lumia 825 has surfaced. The device will be the first Nokia smartphone to feature a display larger than 5 inches.

The smartphone is set to feature a quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and of the midrange variety. This coincides with earlier leaked specs of a quad-core WP8 device we heard back in June.

The quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 won't exactly be a powerhouse, so it's likely the large-screened device is targeted at the lower midrange market.

The Lumia 825 is rumored to come with a resolution of 720p. Even if Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update will enable 1080p screens, the mid-ranger has slim chances of qualifying for such a display.

There are hints of an October smartphone release from Nokia which could be the Lumia 825. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.

BlackBerry patent portfolio is worth $2 to $3 billion, Analyst estimates

Update of Nokia Lumia Amber unfolding around the world now

Analyst: Apple will launch 128GB iPhone 5S

It is all but certain that Apple will be unveiling two new iPhone models, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, on September 10. Both devices have been leaked numerous times and have provided us some valuable information and now, we have an interesting prediction from a popular analyst, who claims that Apple will be launching a 128 GB model of iPhone 5S.

According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will also be selling its iPhone 5S with a whopping 128 GB of storage. If the predictions from the analyst, who has been quite accurate in the past, turn out to be true, then iPhone 5S will be the second Apple product after iPad 4 to feature the massive storage capacity.

The 128 GB model of the iPhone 5S would cost $499 (on contract) under the Apple's current pricing scheme.

Ming-Chi Kuo also expects the upcoming iPhone to be powered by a new A7 chip that features 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The latest chip is said to be built on the ARMv8 architecture and will be 20% more energy efficient than previous A6 SoC.

The analyst also confirms that the iPhone 5S will indeed house an upgraded camera with bright F/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. This means that the iPhone 5S camera should have better low-light performance than the previous models.

Lastly, Apple is also expected to unveil a gold color option for the iPhone 5S in addition to the classical Black and White paintjobs.

Apple seeds iOS 7 beta 6 to registered developers

Apple has released the iOS 7 beta 6 to developers. The latest beta comes just a week after Apple released beta 5 and oddly near the end of the week when usually the betas are released on Monday.

The general consensus is that the update was released in a hurry to patch some major bug in the previous update. Apple's changelog mention that the new update addresses an issue with iTunes in the Cloud "where some purchases may download or play unexpected items".

The update is now available to download as an OTA download or through Apple's Developer Center.

White Sony Xperia Honami caught in the wild, shot next to iPhone 5

The Sony Xperia Honami has appeared in a series of live photos again, only this time dressed in a shiny white outfit. This time around Sony's upcoming cameraphone has also been placed next to an iPhone 5 so we get a better idea of its size.

Set to pack a 5" 1080p display, the Xperia Honami won't be much different from the Xperia Z on the front. However, on the back, the Honami will pack a 20.7MP camera, which will be one of its key selling points, along with the Snapdragon 800 chipset inside.

The Sony Honami camera is coupled with an LED flash. The sensor packs a size of 1/2.3" and features G Lens, commonly found in the company's point-and-shoot digital cameras.

As we already mentioned, under the hood of the Xperia Honami is said to tick the powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU and quad-core Krait 400 CPU. It'll run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sony's Xperia UI on top. As with many of the Sony high-end smartphones for 2013, the Honami is also expected to be water resistant.
